Amazing Stress Test...

I am not sure exactly how it works, but this is an amazingly accurate stress test.

Read the full description before looking at the picture

The picture below has 2 identical dolphins in it. It was used in a case study on stress levels at St. Mary's Hospital.

Look at both dolphins jumping out of the water.

The dolphins are identical.

However, a closely monitored, scientific study revealed that,

in spite of the fact that the dolphins are identical; a person under stress would find differences in the two dolphins.

The more differences a person sees between the dolphins,

the more stress that person is experiencing.

Now, look at the photograph below and if you find more than one or two differences you may want to take a vacation.

A giggle from a relative...

It's amazing the lengths some people will go to for a little fun.

This little video is only a minute and a half but really worth the minute and a half.

It's called The Disappearing Car Prank.

Take ninety seconds and enjoy it.

BYU Animation and Pixar...

As many of you know, BYU animation department has done some amazing things in recent years.

Winning some major awards.

Unfortunately their films are not available for viewing anywhere.

Here is a link to an article about many BYU students work at Pixar but the important part is that I wrote a letter to the editor asking BYU to get with the program and make their animated shorts available on iTunes.

If you will go to the article, go down to the comments section, find my letter (about #4), and "recommend" it, by clicking on the "recommend" button, perhaps they'll think enough people care, to consider doing it.

It would be a win/win. The films would give the department and students more exposure, make a little money, and we'd be able to see and buy the films.

Warning, please forward - Older men scam

This important warning for older men was forwarded to me:

WARNING: OLDER MEN SCAM

Women often receive warnings about protecting themselves at the mall and in dark parking lots, etc. This is the first warning I have seen for men. I wanted to pass it on in case you haven't heard about it.

A 'heads up' for those men who may be regular customers at Lowe's, Home Depot, Costco, BJ's and even Wal-Mart. This one caught me totally by surprise. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scamwhile out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.

Here's how the scam works:

Two nice-looking, college-aged girls will come over to your car or truck as you are packing your purchases into your vehicle. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts (It's impossible not to look). When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' but instead ask for a ride to McDonald's. You agree and they climb into the vehicle. On the way, they start undressing.. Then one of them starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen September 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th, & 29th. Also October 1st & 4th, twice on the 8th, 16th, 23rd, 26th & 27th, and very likely again this upcoming weekend.

So tell your friends to be careful. What a horrible way to take advantage of us older men. Warn your friends to be vigilant. Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for $2.99 each. I found even cheaper ones for $.99 at the dollar store and bought them out in three of their stores.

Also, you never get to eat at McDonald's.  I've already lost 11 pounds just running back and forth from Lowe's, to Home Depot, to Costco, Etc.

Please, send this on to all the older men that you know and warn them to be on the lookout for this scam.

(The best times are just before lunch and around 4:30 in the afternoon.)

From the Backroads of New Hampshire...

Okay, it's not really from New Hampshire, but it's from a relative who lives in New Hampshire. Every now and then he sends me a little something he finds amusing or interesting.

The Arrogance of Authority

A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas , and talked with an old rancher. He told the rancher,

"I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs."

The rancher said,

"Okay , but don't go in that field over there," as he pointed out the location.

The DEA officer verbally exploded saying,

"Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me!"

Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.

"See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish . . . on any land!!

No questions asked or answers given! Have I made myself clear . . . do you understand?!"

The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores.

A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life,
being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull . . .

With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough
get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs . . .

"Your badge . . . show him your BADGE!!"
